MAUI REVEALED MARRIOTT LUAU REVIEW FREE

Kids were delighted to eat at the nearby "Cannery Mall" and enjoyed the free hula show there too. For example breakfast in 'Va Bene' is $20 adult/$10 kid which would add up quickly for a family staying for a few days. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants on-site as we found them on the expensive side. We found out about this AFTER we had checked-in.

The 4th and 5th floors are under construction (conversion to timeshare condos) and there's lots of drilling and hammering going on. BTW, the 3-storey parking garage is ocean-view property so again, you wonder what the architect was thinking. If you self-park your car, it's another long hike with lots of stairs again which just gets irritating after a few days. Lots of running up and down narrow stairwells to get from our room to the pool or else an annoying hike in the opposite direction to use the elevators which are all grouped in the same central location. We stayed in the Lanai tower and the interior architecture looks like a penitentiary in the movies. The whole place looks like it has seen better days and that's not surprising since it was built in 1981. The lobby is grand but the rooms are less than clean and their decor is garish and outdated. Recurring theme of many posts is "Nice location, great pool but the rooms are dismal" and that sums it up for this family too.
